Olivia Sheriff Practicum Experience

Fall 2020

My name is Olivia Sheriff, and I am currently a senior here at Salisbury University. My major is Communications on the track of Public Relations. I am also minoring in English! I was very excited to land my Practicum placement with the PACE group. I was very uncertain about what I wanted to actually do in Public Relations, and after meeting everybody who works for the PACE group, I was inspired to pursue a career in the Non-Profit field post-graduation. We are currently experiencing something we've never experienced before (COVID-19) so this is a complete learning experience for all of us. With COVID, my practicum is online, and I've run into some issues with logging my hours and keeping up with the total. Although I've hit some bumps in the road this semester, I know I am not alone and I am making the best out of the situation.
