Practicum Placement

The Practicum site I have been assigned to is with the PACE group here at the University. The PACE group consists of ShoreCorps/AmeriCorps, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, Food for the Flock, and the Center for Civic Reflection. This group is located in the Camden house right across from the Commons. Their mission statement is "As a non-partisan institute at Salisbury University, PACE cultivates a more informed, democratic citizenry that promotes good governance on campus, local, and federal levels." The PACE group is the key to helping our university community and the surrounding communities. My program supervisor is Alexander Pope but we all call him Sandy. From the interview process and talking to the many members in the PACE group, I knew that this site best fit what I want to do after graduation. My main goal is to help individuals with darker pasts and to be the voice of those people in their life journeys.
